Disclosure Log

Section 11C of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to publish a disclosure log on their website. The disclosure log lists information that has been released by the Department in response to a request for access to information under the FOI Act received after 1 May 2011. Notably, the Department's disclosure log also lists information which has been released by Minister Burke's Office, Parliamentary Secretary Farrell's Office and the following portfolio agencies:

Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme Regulator
Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder
National Environmental Protection Council
National Environmental Protection Council Service Corporation
Australian Heritage Council.

Pursuant to section 11C of the FOI Act, the disclosure log requirements do not apply to the following types of information:

personal information about any person, if it would be unreasonable to publish the information
information about the business, commercial, financial or professional affairs of any person, if it would be unreasonable to publish the information
information of a kind covered by a determination made by the Australian Information Commissioner if publication of that information would be unreasonable, and
any information, if it is not reasonably practicable to publish the information because of the extent of any modifications to a document (or documents) necessary to delete information referred to above.

A charge may be imposed to reimburse the department for the cost incurred in copying or reproducing the information or sending it to you. You will be notified if any charge is payable and if a charge is payable, you will be required to pay the charge before the information is provided.
