Jennifer

Background

Home State: Queensland
University: University of Queensland
Qualifications:Masters of Natural Resource Economics
Bachelor of Business Management
Bachelor of Science

Before joining the Department, I worked for over six years in the Banking and Finance Industry, in a variety of operational, service and management roles. My work has focused on customer service, risk and project management.

In 2008, I had the opportunity to travel through Europe and Asia. During my trip, I became aware of the growing importance of sustainability, and the link between the environment and the economy. Inspired by my travels I went back to university to complete my Masters in Natural Resource Economics.

I wanted to work for the Department to contribute to implementing policy, programs and legislation for the protection and enhancement of the environment. The graduate program has provided me an excellent opportunity to get a broad exposure to the department, work with some fabulous people, and make some great friends.
