About these documents

The guidelines and standards have been developed to assist CERF researchers ensure that data and other information are dependable, consistent, reliable and easily shared and used across the program.

The guidelines consist of an overview document entitled Data and Information Guide - Standards and Guidelines for CERF Funded Research Hubs, Projects and Fellowships and a series of supporting documents.

The documents above support the CERF Metadata Editor which has been provided to assist with the process of creating, updating and publishing metadata appropriate to DEW standards (users will require Microsoft Access). A completed example of DEW ISO Metadata is also provided.

Note: The CERF Metadata Editor requires Microsoft Access 2003.
