Advice to Australian Government bodies under section 30 of the Australian Heritage Commission Act
Under section 30 of the Australian Heritage Commission Act, Australian Government bodies must refer to the commission proposals that might significantly affect National Estate places. The commission also provides advice to non-Australian Government bodies if requested to do so. Statistics on advice provided are given in the tables below, including number of referrals received, bodies requesting advice, and numbers where the commission estimated that the proposed action would have a significant adverse effect on the heritage values of the places concerned.
| Body requesting advice | Number of requests received (% of total) |
Pieces of advice provided (as a % of requests received) |
Significant adverse effects (as a % of pieces of advice provided) |
