Commentary

Specialist scientific and mechanical equipment used by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) is sourced from overseas, both directly and through Australian-based distributors. Examples include heavy-duty earthmoving equipment, snow-blowers, hagglunds (a special type of Antarctic vehicle), shipping containers, and specialist scientific equipment.
