The new cleaning contract for DEH Darwin was established in 2005 and incorporated clauses into the agreement that the provider was to use environmentally-friendly cleaning and toiletry products. All paper toiletry products purchased are made from recycled paper. Environmentally-sensitive cleaning products are also used.
Commentary
Cleaners are also required to dispose of sorted recyclable waste into the appropriate bins for removal from site.
