DEH has a privacy policy and abides by the requirements of the Australian Government’s privacy legislation. When referring to people by name, or reproducing their image, DEH requires signed privacy consent. In 2005-06 there were no substantiated complaints regarding breach of privacy involving the department. The department has an identified Privacy Contact Officer.
