Prediction of local stream habitat features using large-scale catchment characteristics

Background story

I have always had a keen interest in the environment and the management of our landscape. I enjoyed my environmental science degree, especially water science and catchment processes.

I followed my interest in water and catchments and went on to work at the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology for a number of years where I was involved in using rapid biological assessment to provide an assessment of river condition.

I wanted to further my understanding of the management of our environment and gained a position at the Department working on water quality.

I have been enjoying my work at the Department and am looking forward to expanding my horizons and gaining a better understanding of the different areas of the Department's portfolio.
