Queensland University of Technology
Bachelor of Business Management (Hons)
After completing my studies at university I ventured on a 12 month working holiday around Japan. To live in a country with a high cost of living, I needed to manage my finances effectively - which was a valuable and limited resource at the time. In early 2006 I returned to Australia to apply my management skills on another precious resource - the environment. I value and appreciate every environmental issue that constitutes the department's portfolio.
The graduate program has provided me with extensive training and insight into government processes. The graduate year allowed me to interact with other's of similar and diverse backgrounds. The projects and learning oppportunities I've been involved in as part of the program have been interesting, influential, challenging and rewarding and have provided me with an invaluable springboard to take on my duties in my permanent position.
