Performance 2005-06 and trends
All parks use 60% recycled Fuji-Xerox Green Wrap paper for all standard A4 printing or photocopying tasks. Paper is recycled at ANBG and at Booderee and at the remote sites some used paper is shredded and used as mulch or packaging material. Recycled paper toilet tissue is used throughout Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Some parks recycle used printer cartridges.
Kakadu recycled 22 printer and copier cartridges in 2005-06, Norfolk 6 and the ANBG’s cartridges went back through DEH’s main office recycling system.
Data is not available on the use of other recycled content products in parks, such as recycled materials in construction, or the use of recycled oil.
- All parks to investigate opportunities for increasing the use of products made from recycled materials.
