Fellowships and significant projects
Department of the Environment and Water Resources, September 2007
The Fellowships and Significant Projects are part of the Australian Government's $100 million Commonwealth Environment Research Facilities (CERF) initiative. The CERF Fellowships will enable acknowledged world-class, Australian and international scientists to work within an Australian institution on an activity relevant to an identified CERF priority research area. Researchers will contribute to developing fresh and cutting edge approaches to public good environmental issues. Teams working on the Significant Projects will focus on more narrowly defined research activities to boost Australia's environmental research capacity in specific areas. These Fellowships and Significant Projects will advance our understanding of current and emerging challenges facing the conservation and use of our environmental assets.
