- Council implementation of Kilowatt Kutters: 40 free home energy audits (20 with Energy Smart Home Ratings) and retrofits of energy and water saving products.

- Fridge Buyback, Solid Fuel Heater Buyback.
Travel
- Transport Access Guide of bus routes and cycleways.
- 4 cylinder cars for leaseback, LPG for pool vehicles.
- Cycle path upgrades.
Corporate
- Energy Performance Contract negotiations.
- Energy Star enabled office equipment.
- Timers on lighting outside office hours.
- Organisational review.
Future greenhouse abatement actions
- Council reduction in corporate emissions by 20 per cent on 2000 levels by 2010.
- To reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent across the Southern Sydney Region by 2010. (Southern Sydney Region Organisation of Councils (SSROC) Goal).
- Implementation of the Energy Savings Plan.
