Annual Statements for the 2012 calendar year are due by 14 February 2013

Annual Statements must be submitted by producers and suppliers of fuel each calendar year as required under Section 67 of the Fuel Quality Standards Act (2000).

New E85 fuel quality and fuel quality information standards

Following extensive stakeholder consultation, a fuel quality standard and a fuel quality information (labelling) standard have been made for E85 automotive fuel. These standards ensure the quality of E85 supplied for use in Australia and require labelling of E85 at the point of sale. The new E85 standards commence on 1 November 2012.

Proposed diesel biodiesel blend (B20) automotive fuel quality standard

The department released a position paper ‘Developing a B20 fuel quality standard’ on setting a fuel quality standard for diesel biodiesel blend (B20) automotive fuel containing at least 5 percent but not more than 20 percent biodiesel, under the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000. Submissions closed on Friday 4 May 2012.
