Assessment Criteria and Process

All Bursary applications are assessed by the ABRS according to the evidence provided in the application. Applications are assessed against each of the following key criteria:

Application form and guidelines

Applications are no longer being accepted for this round

All Bursary recipients are subject to the terms of the Conditions of Award supplied by the ABRS.

Bursary Reporting

ABRS Student Travel Bursary recipients are required to report to the ABRS on the outcome of their conference/workshop attendance. Bursary recipients must submit a one-page Completion Report (report template found below) on the outcomes and benefits of the conference to their study.

Also attached to the report is a financial acquittal that needs to be signed by the recipient’s host institution verifying that the funds have been spent.

This report is to be supplied to the ABRS within 60 days of attending the conference.

Evidence of registration at the conference/workshop and evidence that a poster or oral paper presentation was submitted to the organisers of the conference/workshop must be provided to the ABRS. This evidence must be provided either upon submission of the application to the ABRS, or with the Completion Report submitted to the ABRS.

This report should be used by ABRS Student Travel Bursary applicants in reporting on outcomes.
