Churchill Fellowships

Applications for the ABRS Churchill Fellowships for 2012 are NOW OPEN!

Applications close 29 February 2012

Following the success of our 2011 partnership with The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, the ABRS is now offering two fellowships in 2012 to undertake overseas taxonomic research on the Australian flora and fauna.

The Fellowships ($25 000 each) available are:

  1. One for an early career researcher
    Applicants who have completed their tertiary studies (Honours, Masters, Ph.D. equivalent) within the last 10 years (no earlier than 2002), and;
  2. One for an established career researcher
    Applicants who have completed their studies prior to 2002 and are well established in their field.

Applicants who are short-listed for the ABRS sponsored Churchill Fellowships but do not receive one, may be eligible for a general Churchill Fellowship (this will be at the discretion of the Board of The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust).
