Introduction
The family Oniscigastridae contains only three genera, Tasmanophlebia Tillyard from Australia, Oniscigaster MacLachlan from New Zealand and Siphlonella Needham & Murphy from South America. Tasmanophlebia is widespread in southeastern Australia, South Australia and Tasmania, occuring in both running waters and in lakes at all altitudes.
