Introduction
The subgenus was redescribed and a new diagnosis and key to species of the subgenus were given by Baker (2010).

Diagnosis
Adult wing with m-cu distal to r-m. bm-cu 1.4-4.5 times length of m-cu . bm-cu curved. Scape with half ring of setae on ventral side of distal end. Larval head capsule with campaniform sensillae in line with setae rather than block formation. Larval malpighian tubules white to light brown to black. Pupae suspended horizontally with one silk line connecting to thoracic region and another to abdominal region
