Family BRACHODIDAE
- Atychiidae.
- Bradyptesidae.
Introduction
[After Edwards 1996]
No modern study of the Australian Brachodidae is available. Species have been named primarily by Meyrick (1907) and Turner (1913, 1942). Heppner & Duckworth (1981) provided a review of the family with a complete listing of the world fauna. Their division of the family into two subfamilies (Brachodinae, Phycodinae) and their arrangement of the genera is followed here.
Excluded Taxa
BRACHODIDAE: Nigilgia adjectella Walker, 1863 [included by Nielsen (1996: 139) but misidentified and not an Australian species].
