Introduction
There are 17 genera in the family Canuellidae, according to Bodin (1997) and Boxshall and Halsey (2004){}. Two genera and four species are currently listed for Australia.
The Canuellidae were reviewed by Por (1984);and a key to the genera of the family was given by Huys (1995) and Boxshall and Halsey (2004). Boxshall and Halsey (2004) also provide information on the biology of the family.
