The superfamily Chrysomeloidea currently is considered to comprise Vesperidae, Oxypeltidae, Disteniidae, Cerambycidae, Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae and Chrysomelidae (Lawrence et al. 1999). Only Cerambycidae, Chrysomelidae and Megalopodidae occur in Australia, and only the two latter families are included here. ABRS expects to be able to add the checklist of Australian Cerambycidae before very long.
The basic checklist from which the compiler worked to develop this database was supplied by Mr Ross Storey, Mareeba, Queensland. We are grateful to him for assisting with the project.
