Introduction
The Cyclopidae is a diverse and abundant copepod family, with a cosmopolitan distribution in fresh water. Species have been recorded from a variety of habitats including subterranean groundwater, lakes, caves, damp moss and leaf litter. The family There are 59 genera, and approximately 760 species.
