Diagnosis

Similar morphology to Ammothella. Chelifores originate in an anterior hood on the cephalic segment. Trunk elongate, segmentation lines swollen, some with dorsal tubercles or spines; ocular tubercle usually slender, tall; chelifore scape one-segmented, chelae atrophied in bumps; palps 9-segmented; ovigers 10-segmented with no claw. Legs usually setose, claw and auxiliaries long. Cement gland long, bizarre tube on dorsodistal half of the femur.
