Diagnosis

Proboscis often much longer than mostly unsegmented trunk, lateral processes very short, sometimes well separated, without tubercles; chelifores entirely lacking in adults; palps 9- 10-segmented, distal segments diagnostic; ovigers very long, with strong strigilis having rows of finely serrate spines and terminal claw; legs very to extremely long, slender, mostly glabrous, tarsus and propodus cylindrical, without larger spines, claw short to long, no auxiliaries.
