Diagnosis

Members of the genus Eukoenenia differ from other palpigrade genera by the following combination of characters: opisthosomal sternites IV–VI without ventral sacs; segment IX is narrower than VIII, but wider than XI; and the opisthosomal sternites IV and VI each form a protuberance (Monniot 1966; Rowland and Sissom 1980).
