Family GALLIENIELLIDAE Millot, 1947

Introduction

Only recently recognised, the family was first described from Madagascar and then found to be quite diverse in Australia. They are small, long legged spiders that hunt in the litter and are difficult to correctly recognise without a microscope.

Diagnosis

Gnaphosoids in which the fangs lie longitudinally and the chelicerae are porrect.
