     Eurybrachys varia Walker, 1851 by original designation.

 

Introduction

The identity of this genus is not well known. It was included in a key to the genera of Platybrachini by Fennah (1964) but it needs redescription. The only included species was described by Walker (1851) simply from "New Holland' (= Australia).

 

Distribution

Recorded from "Australia".

Diagnosis

Second segment of antennae elongate, swollen, surpassing eyes. Frons traversed from side to side medially by a furrow. Tegmina relatively narrow, distally tapering or sinuate with M not forked close to base. (Fennah 1964)
