Introduction

Small, 3-clawed spiders with six spinnerets in a transverse line. Tracheal spiracle wide, in advance of spinnerets (tracheal branches to cephalothorax). Posterior eye row usually procurved. Colulus reduced or absent. A row of trichobothria (usually 2) on metartarsi and tarsi. Male palp with patellar as well as tibial apophysis. Epigynum not strongly sclerotised. Hahniids construct small sheet webs in litter and in foliage.

Diagnosis

Hahniines can be easily recognised by the alignment of the spinnerets, which lie in a transverse row.
