Introduction

This species is found on branches of broad phyllodinous Acacia (Fabaceae) shrubs from SE Queensland to the Sydney region. In dorsal view, it is dark with a small white mark towards the apex of the forewing but ventrally the female abdomen is bright green and the face of the head is also brightly coloured, either greenish yellow or bright red. Constant (2006) included some photographs of live adults and nymphs taken by Mr Peter Chew of Brisbane.
