Genus Heterocaecilius Lee & Thornton, 1967

  • Heterocaecilius Lee, S.S. & Thornton, I.W.B. 1967. The family Pseudocaeciliidae (Psocoptera)—a reappraisal based on the discovery of new Oriental and Pacific species. Pacific Insects Monographs 16: 1-116 187 figs [13] [proposed Heterocaecilius as a 'collective group' in terms of ICZN Article 42(b)(i)].
    Type species:
Heterocaecilius minotus Lee & Thornton, 1967 by subsequent designation, see Mockford, E.L. 1993. North American Psocoptera (Insecta). Fauna and Flora Handbook No. 10. Gainesville, Florida : Sandhill Crane Press pp. i-xviii 455 [221] (when subsequently designating a type species, Mockford used the name Heterocaecilius minutus but this appears to be a misspelling of Heterocaecilius minotus, the spelling used several times in Lee & Thornton, 1967 for a species from the Caroline and Marshall islands)
