Family LECANODIASPIDIDAE

Introduction

This small family, possibly of Gondwanan origins (Howell & Kosztarab 1972; Williams 1984), is tropicopolitan with extensions into temperate areas.

The described Australian fauna comprises four genera and 19 species and occurs mainly on endemic trees and some are associated with Rutaceae, including citrus.
