Introduction
Loricifera is a very small phylum of tiny to microscopic, multicellular, marine sediment-dwelling animals, characterised by a protective outer case called a lorica. They appear to be most closely related to Nematomorpha. Only two species, each in a different genus, are recorded from Australian waters.
