Introduction
Often considered a subfamily of the Gryllidae. Characterised by small size, clypeus extending onto dorsum of head, body covered in scales, and males with short tegmina, used only for stridulation and not flying; females are apterous. Occur at night on leaf surfaces or in leaf litter.
