Introduction

This species is poorly known and is based on two male specimens from Laura and Alice River in far north Queensland. Nothing is known of the biology of the species. Constant (2006), in redescribing the genus, stated that no additional specimens were found and the genus is not closely related to any other genus of Eurybrachidae.

Diagnosis

Scheitel dreimal so breit wie lang. Vorderrand schwach bogig, mit dem Hinterrande parallel, Fläche von den Augen nach der Mitte tief eingedrückt, Seitenränder scharf aufgebogen. Augensockel neben ihnen weit auf die Augen hinaufgezogen. Stirn um die Hälfte breiter als lang, vordre Seitenränder kaum eingebogen, hintre grade, Ecken schwach abgestumpft; Vorderrand grade, Hinterrand vom Clipeus flachbogig eingeschnitten; Fläche in der Basalhälfte der Quere nach tief eingedrückt, von der Apikalhälfte durch eine ± scharfe Querleiste getrennt, ohne Mittelkiel, Bogenkiel vorn sehr scharf, Fläche innerhalb davon fein längsrissig. Fühler die Augen nicht überragend. Clipeus langgestreckt, glatt, Schnabel die Hinterhüften beträchtlich überragend. Pro- und Mesonotum zusammen merklich länger als breit, ersteres vorn sehr vertieft, letzteres nur mit Bogenkielen. Deckflügel lang und schmal, Apikalrand tief eingeschnitten, Flügel fast doppelt so breit wie jene, vollständig. (Jacobi 1928).
