The genus Ceratrimeria Börner in New Zealand and a new genus Novacerus to replace the genus Neocerus (pre-occupied). Transactions of the Royal Society of New Zealand 71: 254-259 [259] [nom. nov. for Neocerus Salmon, 1941].
  • Neocerus Salmon, J.T. 1941. The Collembolan fauna of New Zealand, including a discussion of its distribution and affinities. Transactions of the Royal Society of New Zealand 70: 282-431 [345] [junior homonym of Neocerus Wasmann, 1893 (Coleoptera)].
    Type species:
     Neocerus spinosus Salmon, 1941 by original designation.
