Family PHILODROMIDAE Thorell, 1870
Introduction
Including only three genera, these spiders resemble the Thomisidae (Crab spiders) in which family they have been at times included. They seem to be very rare except in agricultural environments.
Diagnosis
Two-clawed hunting spiders with dense true claw tufts and 8 similar eyes in 4 rows or two strongly recurved rows, the flat carapace and weak spines on the legs aid their separation from the Zoridae.
