Introduction

Species belonging to the family Temoridae can be found in zooplankton communities in coastal waters, and in fresh, estuarine and brackish waters. There are four recognised genera, and 35 species. Additionally, there is one genus inquirendum. See Boxshall & Halsey (2004: 205) for more details as well as a key to the genera.
