Diagnosis

Trunk circular, lateral processes closely crowded, often with low tubercles; abdomen and ocular tubercle very short; proboscis ovoid, barrel-shaped, tapering, straight or down-curved; chelifores 1-segmented, without chelae; palps 4-7 segmented; ovigers 10-segmented, larger in male, without strigilis, no terminal claw; legs with dorsal swellings, setose, tarsus short, propodus large, curved, with large heel spines and large auxiliary claws. Cement gland a dorsodistal pore or tiny tube.
