Australia is a rich source of biodiversity information and technology for environmental management. Where it is a public resource, such information and technology can be freely exchanged. Through this Clearing House Mechanism, and by other means, Australia is also able to provide international access to a wide range of government and non-government agencies, as well as research institutions and industry organisations involved with environmental management.
