These Proceedings were prepared from papers presented at the Conference "Fire and Biodiversity: Effects and effectiveness of fire management", held 8-9 October 1994, and organised by Ms Jenny Barnett, of the Victorian National Parks Association. Some papers were expanded from the Conference presentations, to include more detailed methodology and results, etc. The discussions were transcribed by Ms Barnett, as were the Closing Session comments, and the results of the subsequent Workshop.
