About the recovery plan

The Ben Major Grevillea (Grevillea floripendula) is listed as Vulnerable under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and Threatened under the Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988. The species is endemic to a small area in central western Victoria, where about 4,000 plants occur in 21 wild populations. Main threats include inappropriate fire regimes, weed invasion, timber harvesting and firewood collection, and road works.

This national Recovery Plan for G. floripendula details the species' distribution and biology, conservation status, threats, and recovery objectives and actions necessary to ensure its long-term survival.
