About the recovery plan
The Shiny Nematolepis (Nematolepis wilsonii) is listed as Vulnerable under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and Threatened under the Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988 (under the name Phebalium wilsonii). The species is endemic to the Central Highlands of Victoria, where there is a single wild population containing about 500 plants. Main threats include damage by feral deer, weed invasion and road maintenance.
This national Recovery Plan for N. wilsonii details the species' distribution and biology, conservation status, threats, and recovery objectives and actions necessary to ensure its long-term survival.
