The object of this checklist is to assess how adequately a recovery plan meets the legal requirements of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). Each question relates directly to and is referenced to the relevant provision in the EPBC Act and its associated Regulations.
When a recovery plan is intended for adoption under the EPBC Act, the author of the recovery plan needs to complete and submit this checklist with the recovery plan to the Department of Environment and Heritage.
