About the public comment process
You are invited to comment on the above draft threat abatement plans as required under the provisions of section 275 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
The release of these draft threat abatement plans marks the beginning of a three month public comment period that will close on the dates listed.
At the end of this period the draft plans will be revised, taking into consideration any comments received. The Australian Government Environment Minister will consider the revised plans as well as the comments received when deciding on adoption of the plans.
Under subsection 279(2) of the EPBC Act, the Minister is required to review threat abatement plans at least every five years.
