Positive change through incorporation of biodiversity conservation and enhancement in Council’s overall Corporate Plan or Management Plan or policies.

Aim: Council has established a firm political and policy commitment towards achieving Biodiversity Conservation.

Actions to Assist in Benchmark Attainment

• Endorsement at Council level through generation of resolution.
• Incorporation of biodiversity conservation and natural resource management in Council's corporate/ management/ business plan or strategy.
• Allocation of resources to ensure biodiversity conservation and natural resource management becomes a core duty of Environmental Officers.
• Written commitment to participating in the Benchmarking Biodiversity Conservation program.
