Disclaimer:

This page details working examples and templates that can be used by Councils when developing biodiversity strategies, policies and programs. They are either presently in use by Councils around Australia, or have been developed as tools to assist in the effective conservation of biodiversity at a local level as part of this or other projects.

It is important to note that they represent examples and guidelines only, and should be modified and adapted to suit local conditions, circumstances and community needs.  Their use should be in the context of careful consideration of the local planning framework and context, and expert legal advice should be sought before and during the preparation of all legal documents.
