About the declaration

Under subsection 303EB(1) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 this list was established by the Minister for the Environment and Heritage to list specimens that are taken to be suitable for live import into Australia.

This instrument took effect on 11 January 2002.

Since the establishment of this list, many specimens have been assessed and amendments have been made to the list.
