About the list

This is a list of specimens suitable for live import. The list is divided into two parts:

• Part 1 is a list of live specimens that do not require an import permit under this Act; and
• Part 2 is a list of live specimens that require an import permit under this Act.

Definitions

As defined under Part 23 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

Animal means any member, alive or dead, of the animal kingdom (other than a human being).
Live animal includes animal reproductive material.
Plant means a member, alive or dead, of the plant kingdom or of the fungus kingdom, and includes a part of a plant and plant reproductive material.
Live plant includes plant reproductive material.
