Statement of Significance
Forms part of the group which is now collectively the Adelaide Girls High School. It features, with the other two buildings, in the earliest history of education in South Australia and was famous in its own right as the Advanced School for Girls.

Description
Two storey red brick building with galvanized iron roof, windows double-hung sash with concrete lintels in front and restraining-arch brick lintels over windows to the additions(?) at rear. Brick string courses at front and moulded storey-course all round. Roof gable-ended,with brick chimneys,metal ventilators and dormer window to east.

Condition and Integrity
Some slight alteration is in evidence, though not recent. Purpose of building throughout its life largely unchanged, therefore it is substantially the same as it was originally.
