Statement of Significance
Diverse vegetation. Scenically attractive wildflowers in spring, some of which are restricted to this region. Important for the large undisturbed areas of sand heath which support many examples of West Australia flora.

Undulating country of wide plains. Heath and woodlands common. Heath rich in species, including the restricted ERIOSTEMON PACHYPHYLLUS and ERIOSTEMON COCCINEUS and are dominated by myrtle, banksia and legume species.

About 30,000ha, comprising a rectangular area 10km wide and 30km long, centred on the Great Eastern Highway, between Koorarawalyee and Boorabbin, excluding the Road Reserve of the Great Eastern Highway.
