A 1911 steamship wreck.

Description
An iron hulled steamship, 3,664 tons. Built in Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1902. Adelaide Steamship Company liner which carried passengers and cargo along the Queensland coast before the completion of the railway. Sank in 1911 in about 18m of water during a cyclone. More than 100 passengers and crew were drowned.

Condition and Integrity
Being degraded by the number of tourists. Damage during the past ten years has been appalling, most of it from anchors and anchor chains dragging across the wreck. (February 1992)
Location
About 0.79ha within a circle of radius 500m at 19deg 18' 27"S 147deg 37' 31"E, 35km north-east of Ayr and 100km east of Townsville off Cape Bowling Green in the Coral Sea and inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
